My wonderful
life as a professional animal communicator began when I attended
a seminar hosted by Kate Bast, a gifted animal communicator from
the Midwest. Kate's excellent seminar helped shape my communication
skills tremendously. I was able to distinguish the steps required
to communicate consistently with our animal friends. Before her
seminar, my skills were hit or miss, at best. In the seminar we
learned the importance of relaxation, detachment, focus, receptivity,
acknowledgment and gratitude. Communicating with animals depends
on appreciating these distinctions.
I have since established a business communicating with animals all
over the country. I have been contacted via phone and e-mail both.
My clients range from horses to pesky fire ants! My first professional
communication was with a Belgium draft horse, a brood mare who was
extremely nervous. She communicated that her problem was with "drug
dealers" as she put it. This message seemed so peculiar to me that
I felt embarrassed to relay it to the owner. I passed on the information,
and the owner, amazed, told me that the Belgium had recently been
the victim of a crime in which a lot of horses were stolen by drug
dealers! The mare was afraid they would try to steal her again!
When I reassured the horse that the criminals were in jail, her
nervousness vanished! What marvelous, happy results.
What I love about my work is that so much healing occurs with very
little effort. Animals who were previously anxious, angry, nervous
creatures are able to relax and get on with their lives, abandoning
negative behaviors overnight. Animals are gifted in that they are
usually able to let go of problems
instantly.
In addition to my communicating practice, I own Nirmala Enterprises,
Inc., distributors of Power Paws Pet Food Supplement. I created
Power Paws many years ago when I was living in Houston, Texas. Each
morning I fed my family a yogurt drink that had many of the ingredients
(adapted from an Adelle Davis book) found in Power Paws. My cats
would jump up on the counter for their share, and after a few weeks
I noticed how lovely their fur began to look- so I added it to their
diet. Twelve years ago I put Power Paws on the market. My communicating
grew out of a strong interest I've had with animal well-being. I've
long believed that the health of our companions could be improved
with better diet.
I hold a B.F.A. in studio Arts and am married with a daughter and
step daughter. I have three cats; Rusty, Cookie and Buster. I also
have a lively Astrology practice and am writing a book about coming
to age in the Deep South in the early '70's. What I love most about
my life, aside from the beautiful relationships I enjoy, is that
I get to go swimming in the ocean almost every day (weather permitting.)
